During Surveyor V11's landing on the moon on January 7, 1968, the spacecrafts camera system picked two narrow laser beams that had been aimed towards it from two observatories in the U.S. The blue - green laser beams each contained only about 1 watt of power, but appeared on camera somewhat brighter than the brightest star, Sirius.
Santa Claus is the term used by NASA to indicate a sighting of a UFO by a space flight. Walter Schirra was the first to make use of the term Santa Claus during his Mercury 8 flight. His report was ignored by the public. James Lovell aboard the Apollo 8 command module announced, once he had returned from the dark side of the moon, "Please be informed that there is a Santa Claus." Many sensed a hidden meaning in the words despite it being Christmas Day 1968.
According to Chatelain, a UFO followed Apollo 13 to the moon and sabotaged it by literally causing the now famous malfunction before the astronauts could reach their destination. Could this have been an act of self defense by inhabitants of the moon? According to Daniel Ross, author of "UFO's and the Complete Evidence from Space", there are extraterrestrial living peacefully on the moon and want us off!
Chatelain has claimed that astronaut Neil Armstrong viewed two UFO's on the rim of a crater.
The documents prove that the Joint Chiefs of Staff considered killing Glenn, now a Republican Senator, during the first attempt to put an American into orbit.
Should the rocket explode and kill Glenn, they wrote, "the objective is to provide irrevocable proof that the fault lies with the communists in Cuba."
Other ideas included sparking a war between Cuba and another country and the US could intervene. Another was to direct flights over Cuba in the hope a plane would be shot down.
The possibility of using fake Russian aircraft to harass civilian airliners was also discussed.
Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins
According to transcripts of the Apollo 11 mission, astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins told of an encounter with a large cylindrical UFO even before they reached the moon's surface. Aldrin said, "The first unusual thing that we saw I guess was one day out or so. It had a sizeable dimension to it. Armstrong described the object as appearing as two rings, two connected rings. Collins also said it appeared to be a hollow cylinder that was tumbling. A theory that this was an afterburner from a previous rocket launch were dismissed by NASA.
As mentioned above, Nasa communications boss, Maurice Chatelain claimed that Armstrong had seen two UFO 's resting on a crater. "The encounter was common knowledge to NASA, but nobody has talked about it until now, Chatelain said. Soviet scientist Dr Vladmir Azahaza, a physics and mathematics professor, has stated: "Neil Armstrong relayed the message to Mission Control that two large mysterios objects were watching them after having landed near the moon module, but his message was censored by NASA.
Armstrong reportedly claimed that the final Apollo missions were completed because "NASA was committed at the time and couldn't risk a panic on Earth."
On May 2 1957,
Air Force Base, Cooper was part of what has become a famous
and much publicized encounter. He was project manager of the flight test
centre and said of the incident;
Although Cooper did not witness the sighting, he did study the film. 'It was a typically circular shaped UFO .Not many people saw it, because it took off at quite a sharp angle and just climbed out of sight.
Cooper was surprisingly selected as a Mercury astronaut only two years after reporting the UFO. Cooper was one of seven people chosen from five hundred military personnel who applied to fly aboard what was to be the first manned space flight. The crew of Project Mercury were hand picked during a series of grueling examinations but were beaten into space by the Russians and Yuri Gagarin on April 12 1961.
The Mercury program, primarily aimed at testing humans and their reactions to being in space sent several manned flights into the atmosphere.
Cooper was the man aboard the last Mercury launch in 1963. He actually fell asleep during the countdown but a successful take-off was to see Cooper orbit the earth for 24 hours. His capsule, the 'Faith 7', however experienced difficulties and on the 21st orbit its automatic flight system failed.
Cooper did what all test-pilots do during a crisis- kept his head and went to manual control. The pilot / astronaut flew his ship to line up for a text book re-entry.
Cooper returned to space in 1965 in Gemini 5.
Described as a laconic Oklahoman, Cooper retired as a Colonel from the USAF in 1970 to become an aviation consultant.
In 1978, during a meeting at the United Nations to discuss UFO's, a letter to Grenada's UN Ambassador from Cooper was read. Cooper stated: "I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which are obviously a little more advanced than our own. I feel that we need to have a top level, coordinated program to collect and analyse data about every encounter, anywhere on the earth and learn how to interface with the visitors in a friendly fashion."
In his letter Cooper stated that astronauts "are very reluctant to even discuss UFO's due to the great number of people who have indiscriminately sold fake stories and forged documents abusing their names and reputations without hesitation. Those few astronauts who have continued to participate in the UFO field have had to do so very cautiously. There are several of us who do believe in UFO's and who have had occasion to see one on the ground from an aeroplane.
Sept 15, 1991: A camera on Space shuttle 'Discovery' was filming the curvature of the Earth during mission STS-48 and transmitting images to a NASA select cable network.
Donald Ratsch, a Maryland space researcher, managed to tape the NASA feed and was astounded to discover what appeared moving objects maneuvering some miles from the space shuttle.
Footage shows many objects cruising through space to the right of the shuttle. One object appears to exit the earth's atmosphere, then proceeded to fly parallel with the planet's curvature until a bright flash was recorded by the shuttle camera. At that moment, the object abruptly changed course by almost 120 degrees and accelerated into space. A second object that appeared stationary before the flash also accelerated in the same direction as the first one. What appears to be a surface-to-air missile is then seen rocketing toward the original position of the very lucky first object. Other objects can be seen moving in a variety of directions.
The shuttle at the time of filming was in the airspace of Australia's Pine Gap joint US tracking and intelligence installation.
Ratsches find soon made the rounds of the UFO community and soon a quality tape was obtained by NASA and analyzed. NASA claimed that the objects were ice particles reflecting sunlight. This came into serious question when Nebraska Physicist, Dr Jack Kasher, attempted to prove NASA's explanation to be correct. His extensive studies revealed that it would have been in fact impossible for the shuttle's camera's to record such particles. Kasher concluded that the objects were some sort of space craft.
Despite Kasher's finding's, NASA have stuck to the ice particle story.
Another explanation for the footage which has been thrown up is that the flash which is seen to the bottom right is actually the shuttles thrusters coming into operation. That's fine but why do the thrusters influence the objects and not the trajectory of the shuttle itself?. The curvature of the horizon does not change one iota.
Judge for yourself if you have seen the video or scroll down to download the footage.
The fact that the film was taken from a NASA craft means its credibility can't be questioned.
After the footage was aired all transmissions from Discovery were stopped.
Space Shuttle Discovery, mission STS-48, September 15, 1991.
A UFO appears just above the Earth's atmosphere and does a sharp angle turn when something appears to be shooting at it. This clip is the most famous of all NASA UFO video and broke the story of what's going on with these NASA videos. This is a good one! NASA tried to say these are dust particle or waste particles. After this video was captured, public transmissions during shuttle flights was terminated.
UFO footage from STS-48 mission again, taken aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery in September 1991. A dramatic piece of shuttle footage. Several UFOs are seen moving about the atmosphere at great speed and what appears to be weapons fire, is seemingly directed toward them. One even appears to be hit in some of the better generation video tapes of this event. Is this a secret Star Wars test?

August 30, 2001. Dr Stphen Greer, convener of the Project Disclosure campaign, presented some breaking news on the Art Bell show. It was announced that a very famous astronaut was considering coming forward with "considerable and irrefutable" evidence that NASA and a department of the US Government is involved with both living Aliens and their advanced technology. Greer said the astronaut was one who is known by all listeners to the Bell program.
